Proceed with the loading of required amount to your account.
But if after dialing the code, you get this message “Dear customer, you do not qualify for this plan”, don't load the money on it because it will not work for that line, but you can always try other Airtel Sims at your disposal, definitely one would turn up for you.
After you have confirmed that your line is eligible, here are the procedure to get 4.5GB for 2k:
Load your Airtel line with N2,000 Airtime.
Then dial *440*161# or *437*1#.
You'll be credited with 4.5GB data bundle valid for 30 days.
Dial *141*712*0# or *123*10# to check your data bundle balance.
No special setting required, just insert that sim to your modem, smartphone or any browsing device, connect with the normal Airtel setting you are using before and you are good to go.

I think this should be a better alternative to the MTN Night Plan of N2,500 for 4.5GB which makes you stranded during the day when you exhausted 1.5GB allocated. Enjoy it while it last.

How to downgrade a Mediatek Android phone

Hello guys it's almost weekend and I feel we should try something new, and before I proceed I'll like to give a thanks to Team HovaTek for making this post a success. Its usually thrilling to learn that a major update / upgrade has been released for your Mediatek (MTK) Android phone. The excitement however begins to wane when you discover serious bugs (lagging and overheating being one of the most unbearable) and just wish you were back to the times when your phone was – at least – stable. The good news is that you can easily downgrade your MTK Android phone to a more stable Android OS.

Why would I want to downgrade?

Its actually a good idea to downgrade when you just can’t cope with the bugs in an update. If other builds of the update still aren’t any better then you might want to downgrade and wait out the ‘Guinea Pig’ phase of the Over The Air (OTA) update.

How do I downgrade a MTK Android phone

First, you need to know what version of Android the phone was running on before the update / upgrade; this is the firmware you’ll need to download then flash to the phone. 

To downgrade:

Download the firmware for the version of Android you wish to revert / downgrade to. The firmware should be for your exact phone model so you do not brick your Android phone by flashing the wrong firmware.  Visit here to download some MTK Android firmware

Install VCOM drivers on the PC
Turn off the phone (still with battery inside) and don’t yet connect it to the PC via a USB cord. 

Flash the firmware you downloaded above to the phone using the SP flash tool guide.
Do Not interrupt SP flash tool till flashing is complete (Green OK prompt). If you accidentally do then click here 

If the battery is removable then take it out and reinsert after flashing. Ignore this if the battery is inbuilt

Boot the phone into recovery mode after flashing the firmware and do a factory reset click here for guide 

Boot up the phone then follow the Setup Wizard

How to Fix Google Play Store Not Working

Google play store is known worldwide as the portal for downloading Android applications just as Windows and iOS has their own store.

Google Play Store is a very important app on Android device due to it's multitudinous usefulness. Hell freezes and the sky falls once it happens to stop working, though. How will you download that new app you have been so desperately waiting for?

Do you ever try to open Google Play Store on your device and it refused to respond? It can be pretty annoying right? It may be Google Play Store crash or misbehaving. Whether Google play store refused to open on your device or you are simply experiencing an error messages. There is no definite manual for fixing the Google Play Store, but we have put together a set of 7 tips and tricks that will most likely get your precious Play Store up and running again. To fix that "Unknown Issue with Google Play Services" follow the following tips and tricks.

1. Clear the Google Play Store Cache
In most cases, you can stop the Play Store faltering just by emptying the app's cache. The cache is a storage area that temporarily holds data so it can be quickly retrieved without needing to be reloaded. To empty the cache:
Go to Settings > Apps > Downloaded or scroll to All > Google Play Store then finally tap the Clear cache button.

2. Clear Out Your Play Store Data
Deleting your data from the Play Store will sets the app back to square one and gets rid of your saved information, hopefully including whatever data was causing the problem. As with the previous tip, go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store, but this time tap Clear data.
3. Uninstall Play Store Updates
Sometimes an update to your Play Store app will do more harm than good. If you think that's the case, kindly uninstall that update.
Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store, then tap the button that says Uninstall updates. This will revert Google Play back to the original version (as it appeared when it was first installed on your device).
After that, you'll need to find an older – but still recent – version of the Play Store app to download. The best way to do this is by going to the Google Play Store page on APK Mirror and download it from there.
4. Clear Data and Cache on Google Play Services
Go to Settings> Apps > All > Google Play services then tap the Clear cache button. If that fails to solve the problem, tap the Clear data button.
5. Reset Your Google Account on Your Phone
If your Play Store app still not normal, then you may need to refresh your Google account on your Android device. To do this, remove your account then add it again.
Go to Settings > Accounts then tap Google. Tap the Google account you want to remove, then tap the menu icon (three dots) at the top right and tap Remove. Do this for every Google account on your device.
After that, go to Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Google and follow the on-screen steps to re-add your account.
6. Enable Download Manager
There is a chance that the Play Store will stop working if your download manager is disabled. If this is the case, the solution is simple.
Go to Settings > Apps / Application Manager > All > Download Manager.
If Download Manager is disabled, you'll see a button marked Enable. Simply tap this button to switch Download Manager back ON.
7. For Rooted Device: edit Hosts File
If the Play Store refused to load and your device is rooted, you have an even simpler solution on your hand: just modify your Hosts file for a quick fix.
Go to your preferred file manager (Es File Explorer is highly recommended), then navigate to system/etc/hosts and select the Edit option (this will vary between devices). Add a hashtag (#) to the front of the second set of numbers and save your changes (i.e. change from 127.0.0.1 to #127.0.0.1). Reboot your device; re-add your Google account and your Google Play Store problems should be fixed.

How to fix an Infinix Note 2 X600 totally dead after flashing wrong firmware

This post is necessary because it came to our notice that some of Infinix note 2 users have ported wrong firmware to their device which makes their device dead after flashing.

!!! PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE PROCEEDING !!!
this tutorial applies to all infinx note 2 X600 and it is not require a specified firmware do it when your phone totally dead (no boot, not detected by pc)

Caution :

You must have the following to revive your phone:

- install the drivers
- identify your board number for the right firmware

- after confirming that you have the right firmware
start xflash tool and load the scatter file and press start
- only connect the socket in the picture after that connect the usb cable " the pc must not detect the phone at this point "

- make a jumper between the ground and the force boot pinout

" just make the jumper for one touch don't keep them connected"

once you make that you must here that your pc recognize your phone and the xflash tool will make the rest

Android 7.0 expected features

Google is set to announce another Android OS named Android N which would be happening soon – this May to be precise @ Google I/O event and One of the high points of that event would be the announcement of the next version of Android aka Android N. From all indications, this one will be Android N – 7.0 and the name for ‘N’ is yet to be decided.

Below are some features we expect to see in this new Android version:

Multi-window Mode 

Samsung Galaxy Note series have been enjoying this feature for years. It is also possible to get a half baked multi-window support using an Xposed module, but that is nothing compared to official support. A Google engineer with the Pixel C team has confirmed that “split screen is in the works”. So we should be expecting this in Android 7.0.

Dark Themes finally
It would intrest you to know that Windows Phones and BlackBerry 10 has a dark theme feature, but Android doesn’t. The Dark Theme apeared temporarily in the Android M preview builds, but it vanished before the final official Marshmallow release. We hope they restore this feature this time around.

Better tablet support
There has always been a major complain with Android tablets. The app experience there is just awful. With Android 7.0, we expect a real push for tablet-optimized apps instead of the bloated phone apps.

Stock Stylus
Currently, only a few Android devices currently support the use of stylus pens, but this might soon be a thing of the past. Samsung has recently hinted at removing the SPen features for her Look API. This could mean that Google will make it an official feature, just like the finger print support of Android Marshmallow.

ChromeOS integration
There has rumors that Google wants to merge Android and Chrome OS into one. Maybe we might see some of its implementation in Android N.

A new messaging app
For sometime now, Google has been working on a new messaging platform called Rich Communications Services (RCS). The platform allows for much more than talk and text , it also supports video chat, file sharing and instant messaging. A replacement for Hangouts might just be in the cards. It’s now a question of whether or not Google will implement it in Android 7.0.

Better Battery optimization
This is one aspect of the operating system that cannot be overlooked. We expect Google to further improve the Battery Saver mode wit better and deeper optimizations. The Doze can be improved to work more like Greenify.
Some of the above listed feature might not end up seeing the light of day, but we’re pretty sure most of them will surface, come the launch of the next Android version.
